Storyteller at Heart

Deena's path to being a writer was a long and meandering one, but she always loved a great story. Falling in love with The Lord of the Rings books in her early twenties was the best thing to ever happen to her. From there, she discovered Terry Brooks, R.A Salvatore, Robert Jordan, V. E. Schwab, C. J. Redwine, and Leigh Bardugo. These influences helped Deena create stories of adventure, humor, and heart that readers of all ages could enjoy.
Originally from Northern California, Deena is now learning life as a Southerner. After moving to Tennessee, she fell in love with the feel and essence of the state; hummingbirds abound, cicadas, lightnin' bugs, and sweet tea. When she's not writing, she's reading, doing the day job thing, and embarrassing her son at every opportunity.
